CEoutlook’s top story for 2015 was Sony Intros Super High Power Deck (No Amp Needed), with over 10,000 views.

In second place was Wireless CarPlay is Here…Sort of, followed by Rockford’s Superwoofer to Ship by March.

Looking back at 2015, there were several key trends and events for the industry including the rise of CarPlay, the launch of Android Auto, and growth of Hi-Res Audio in the car.

There were several mergers and acquisitions including the purchase of Al & Ed’s Autosound,   Dual Electronics’ Purchase of Jensen, AAMP’s purchase of Rosen, and the completion of the merger of Escort and Cobra. Harman also bought Bang & Olufsen’s Automotive Business.

It was the year that two guys showed they could hack a car remotely.

We also saw the proliferation of digital signal processors. Powersports audio spread like wildfire and Directed launched the first aftermarket remote start from an Apple or Android Watch.
