AAMP of America will consolidate its driver safety products under the Echomaster brand, which AAMP recently purchased along with Rosen Electronics.

AAMP’s key driver safety products including the Intraphex Blind Spot Eliminator and Intraphex backup cameras will now be marketed under Echomaster, a brand which which was a pioneer in selling backup sensors for vehicles.

EchomasterEchomaster was chosen for AAMP’s main safety brand because “it has a strong history in safety.   They’ve been working in the space since 1998 when they launched park assist backup sensors at SEMA. It’s been at the forefront of the technology since the beginning,” said AAMP VP Marketing Marie Still.

“We will use this brand to really reach out to consumers and [boost] awareness…” said Still.

AAMP will also kick off a consumer awareness campaign on Echomaster driver safety products around November. The campaign will include social media although AAMP is still evaluating other marketing avenues. The goal will be to drive foot traffic to the retail stores, said Still.

AAMP has also recently conducted market research on safety products, which examined which products are in highest demand.

Almost 64 percent of respondents said that hands free calling ranked as very important to them and over 40 percent said backup cameras are very important.  Blindspot detection came in third with almost 37 percent deeming it very important, followed by forward collision warning at 20 percent, parking sensors at 19 percent, and lane departure warning at almost 15 percent.

AAMP noted that the products in highest demand are those with the most consumer awareness.

Echomaster was purchased by Rosen Electronics at the end of 2013 and Rosen was purchased by AAMP in May.

AAMP’s iSimple handsfree calling products will remain under the iSimple brand.
