Car audio and video supplier Rosen Electronics has bought Echomaster, a maker of backup cameras and similar products effective December 13.
Echomaster, located in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, also produces interfaces for OEM-type car radios for displaying backup cameras as well as smart mirrors and backup sensors. Rosen said the products fit nicely with its product mix, which includes OE-fit radios, and helps strengthen it in the growing safety category for the aftermarket as well as fleets.
“…Echomaster has a 15+ year track record of producing quality safety related products…Echomaster is an approved OEM supplier to Ford Motor Company and those same quality assurance standards will be retained by Rosen for the aftermarket and fleet channels as well”, said Rosen VP Sales & Marketing Steve Weimar.
Rosen’s current sales organization will manage the expediter/installer, warehouse distributor and retail sales channels for the Echomaster brand.
For fleet and OEM channels, Echomaster’s Director of Operations & Sales, Jerry Redding, will lead the team as he has joined Rosen as the new Director of OEM & Fleet Markets.
