Linkswell shows dual screen car radio made up of two 12.3-inch screens for RVs and custom audio applications at SEMA 2024.

LinksWell, at the SEMA Show last week, showed a dual screen radio with two side by side continuous 12.3- inch panels. The superscreen radio is designed for RVs but can be used in custom installations, said VP Walt Detlefsen.

While the screens are linked, they show independent apps and sources.  One screen can function as a rear camera monitor, and the other, can run an app, for example.  Users can swipe through the screens to change apps as shown in the video below.

  1. This screen is getting more common. Used on Yamaha boats and the BMW X5. Nothing special to see here.

  2. Cool, another large screen with no license from Android and Apple. You have to use a Chinese app to use CarPlay or Android Auto, that doesn’t sound suspicious at all!!!

Honestly I don’t understand why we keep on promoting companies like this that intentionally put out subpar products and brake the law. You don’t need a “3rd party app” from the big 5. Are they not smart enough to connect to a 3rd party app if they wanted to? sure they could, but they don’t. do you know why? Because they would be breaking the law by doing so!! they pay for the license fee because it is the legal way to obtain CarPlay and Android Auto. Search on Amazon and you will find ton of Double DIN head-units that cost $40 with CarPlay and Android Auto. Atoto, Linkswell etc they are all in the same category. the only difference is that WE in the industry are legitimizing these companies when we install their units or industry publications promote them. I cant even believe that they have a booth at SEMA and openly are showing these illegal products.

I cannot be the only one that thinks this way about these brands. Would love to hear other peoples opinion.
