Blaupunkt, which returned to the US a year ago with new and legacy head units, is now shipping a full line of amplifiers and speakers.
After exiting the US market years ago, the pioneering head unit brand was able to return when the rights to Blaupunkt were purchased by Established, Inc, a licensing company with over $1 billion in global sales, backed by Ares Management and Crosstimbers Capital Group.

Blaupunkt amplifiers and speakers began shipping in October. The lineup includes nine amplifiers capped by an 8-channel DSP/amplifier. It delivers 60 watts RMS x 6 plus 80 watts x 2 at $499 MAP. The amplifier line starts at $79.
Subwoofers include a 12-inch model at $65.
Blaupunkt’s best selling radios are called the Bremen and Frankfurt. These are single DIN models that have been in the lineup for years. They are made in Germany as OEM replacements for Mercedes, BMW, Porsche and Volkswagen radios.
Another best selling radio is called the Orlando, a high margin 6.5-inch deck with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto at $199 MAP.
Several other car radios are available, including 10.1- and 9-inch models in various configurations, many with CarPlay and Android Auto. The company plans to cut back some of these models, said Chuck Kenney, National Sales Manager.
Blaupunkt has hired companies to help it police the internet to maintain MAP said Kenney.
Blaupunkt displayed its products in a Bentley demo car during the SEMA Show last month. Kenney said the line is aimed at sound quality rather than SPL. “That’s what Blaupunkt has been for decades…The owner wants to make it they way it was before. It’s great, it’s going back to the old Blaupunkt.”

The first radio I sold was in 1984, it was a Blaupunkt Aspen SQR24! I have always loved the brand. If this company can bring Blaupunkt back with high quality radios, speakers and amps I would love to sell it!
