Speakers for this type of application must be more efficient due to small alternators, and they need more top end and lower end responses to overcome the ambient high noise floor. In open air vehicles, wind noise, outside noise and weather conditions require an EQ slope “that looks like a smiley face.” This is why normal car audio speakers can’t work there.
Massive Audio High Speed Trident series of waterproof pro audio speaker models PNX65, PNX69 and HNX6 (ultra shallow) take advantage of new technology and advancements in music reproduction.
They compliment Massive Audio’s TX series of weather proof amplifiers that have the same chip sets as our Primo amplifiers which can play the higher bit rates of music recordings. 16-bit, 24 bit and even 32 bit is becoming more available making traditional motorcycle/ATV/UTV/marine audio gear obsolete for it cannot reproduce all the amount of content.
