The Nakamichi car audio brand, which recently returned to the US, has partnered with Petra Industries, the nationwide consumer electronics distributor.

Petra now stocks over two dozen Nakamichi Car Audio products including car radios,  subwoofers, amplifiers, speakers, cameras and dashcams.

Nakamichi has a reputation for high-quality products,” said Tate Morgan, Petra President. “We are excited to be partnering with Nakamichi as they return to the United States car audio market, and we are confident Nakamichi will quickly re-establish themselves as a premium brand.”

Diplomat Trading of Florida announced in July that it was distributing products under the Nakamichi name, which has been licensed by a Chinese company.

At the recent SEMA Show, the original Nakamichi of Japan attended the Nakamichi Car Audio booth and said it was helping in product development and guidance for Nakamichi Car Audio.

Nakamichi recently appointed as National Sales Manager industry veteran Robin McNeal, a former manager at Clarion, PowerBass and most recently, Retro Manufacturing.

Petra distributes products for more than 800 brands to tens of thousands of retail/e-tail partners.  Based in Edmond, Oklahoma, it runs a 525,000 sq. ft., state-of-the-art distribution center.
