JVC Mobile CES 2017

JVC Mobile will offer Android Auto for the first time in its 2017 receivers to be unveiled at CES next month.

Both Android Auto and CarPlay will be available in two models (where last year, JVC offered a single CarPlay model).

They each have a 6.8 inch clear resistive touch screen (with a larger viewing area than last year’s model).  They are both Maestro RR compatible for integrating with factory systems and both have advanced Hi-Res Audio capability.

Models include a KW-V830BT with DVD and a mechless (CDless) version, model KW-M730BT.  Shipping is expected in February.

In all the company will ship five new car audio decks in the first quarter of 2017.

In addition, JVC is offering a new Remote App that allows control of a JVC radio from the smartphone over Bluetooth.  Users can view source information and change audio settings in addition to controlling which source they are listening to.

This year will also see support for Hi-Res Audio with 192kHz/24 bit FLAC files.

Also new are KD-R888BT and a KD-R988BTS receivers with a new flat face design and 4 volt pre outs at $100 and $130 suggested retail prices, respectively.
