Amazon can not give the correct advice on what equipment to buy and install to give you what your looking to get. I’ve got 17 years experience installing in shops and 34 years installing for car dealers I know what sounds good, where to install what and how to set up a system to make you happy and your system last a long time.
Whats Amazon have? Price, if price is all your after there ya go, I’d rather not see you in the store. You paying for Experience, knowledge, and somone thats willing to stand behind what they sell. When you have a problem I’m there to help, If you Buy JL Audio on Amazon contrary to what is said you have NO WARRANTY Read manufacturer’s web pages on this issue. All of them have different policies on who can sell online. You also get a better warranty if its a dealer installed equipment then DIY. So you saved a few bucks but you broke it putting it in, guess what the manufacturer is not going to replace it.
If I was doing it for you at a authorised dealer and I made a mistake they will in most cases cover it. Pro’s make mistakes too I’ve put a few screws into woofers/speakers installing them it happens. They will not replace them for DIY customers in most cases.
If you buy and install a DEI Product that viper Sidewinder python ex.. you have no warranty unless its from an authorised dealer and installed at time of purchase.
You put that Viper remote start on a car with A manual transmission and its not the right parts your 100% on the hook for any damages you do with it even if its somone death.
Personally I think 99% of the people have no business trying to install a remote start system on any car without some serious background in electronics and automobile wiring knowledge. I’ve had electronics/ and electrical background as well as automotive background bring in cars to have a remote start installed because they couldn’t do it, and this was on some of the older cars that weren’t so hard to deal with and that was over 10 years ago.
So you saved what 10 bucks on a headunit? and after install it sounds like ass, perhaps you didn’t know how to get the best sound out of it was it worth saving the money after you bought 4 more trying to solve the problem with almost the same results each time?
When I could have pointed out Its the cheap factory Speakers and always was. Over all you spent an extra 400 bucks that should have only be 59.95 in the first place.
When a manufacturer offers a real zero Amazon, zero eBay, zero distributors, and 1 retail dealer per metropolitan area with every part number in the book at 50 points like Concrete Car Audio you don’t have to have this conversation.
Blah ! Blah ! Blah ! You are correct. However the world is stupid, and lazy. Advantage Amazon !
