PAC is launching a VS41 intelligent compact 4-camera switcher that is easy to install, it said.

It automatically switches between cameras in a multi-camera installation so consumers may choose to view a left or right side camera when changing lanes, for example.

It works with aftermarket cameras and enables front, left and right, and reverse cameras to be quickly added to an aftermarket radio, or factory radio (with the addition of a camera interface).

“Late model cars are now equipped with various types of cameras but there are millions of vehicles on the road today that lack this important feature.  The VS41 and a properly configured camera system gives drivers increased awareness they are seeking,” said Nathan Wincek, senior product manager of Integration Products for AAMP Global.

The backup input on the VS41 is triggered by shifting into reverse and the left and right inputs are activated by the vehicle’s turn signals.  The VS41 automatically creates a constant output so the driver sees a steady view from the connected side cameras.

The PAC VS41 carries a suggested retail price of $149.95.

PAC is an AAMP Global brand.

  1. With 4 inputs – all with separate triggers, so you can make them what you want.
