DOW Electronics, based in Tampa, FL has pledged to contribute on behalf of its retailers 1 percent of its revenue from Friday, September 9th’s sales to flood relief efforts in Louisiana.
The funds will go to the American Red Cross, which provides medical assistance and supplies to victims, and gives shelter and meal services for displaced residents.
The distributor said, “We believe our retailers are part of the fabric of these communities, and that independent businesses improve the local economy and strengthen the community. Every purchase you make on Friday, September 9th will help the relief effort in a local community that was impacted by last month’s floods in Southern Louisiana.”
