Metra Electronics announced it shipping its largest radio replacement kit to date.
The kit, number DP-3002B, allows the replacement of a factory radio in 1999-2002 GM full size trucks and SUVs.
The large kit panel replaces the factory dash panel and provides the space for a double DIN radio. No custom fabrication work is required, “just a little sub-dash cutting,” said Metra.
The parts are painted a scratch resistant matte black. Snap in brackets for the radio and climate controls keep them in their original location.
Other parts for this installation include a 70-1858 wire harness (non-amplified models) or 70-1859 (amplified models), and part number 40-GM10 antenna adapter.
