Kenwood said Tuesday that it will release two Android Auto/CarPlay ready DVD/radios in May at prices of $750 and $700.
It will follow Pioneer’s NEX radios with Android Auto and CarPlay in March. Parrot has also announced it will offer the new Android Auto and Apple CarPlay technology which gives you simplified access to maps, music and phone/texts from a smartphone plugged into a car radio.
Kenwood will offer one Excelon model and one standard Kenwood DVD/radio including the DDX9902S with a 7-inch screen, Bluetooth and HDMI, HD Radio and Sirius/XM capability.
Several car makers also announced at CES that they will offer Android Auto/CarPlay radios for the 2015 model year including Audi, Hyundai and Volkswagen.
