Focal is launching an OEM-ready drop-in speaker system for BMW vehicles.
It offers speakers specifically designed for the acoustics of a BMW 1 Series, 3 Series or X1 BMW. The speakers use the same frames and connectors as the factory drivers for easy placement.
The Focal system lets BMW owners can keep their factory radio while adding Focal two-way component speakers including 4-inch woofers and inverted dome tweeters. The speakers use Focal’s noted polyglass cones and baskets with built-in passive crossovers. The crossover is built into the wiring which uses factory BMW connectors.
For those BMW’s without tweeters a special tweeter mount is supplied.
This is the third OEM plug & play system from Focal. The first launched in January for the Volkswagen Golf 6 followed by a version for the Peugeot 207. The BMW model is IFBMW-5 at a retail price of $679.
