Alpine Electronics is shipping a couple of its 2011 CD radios early this year, as are many suppliers.
Two new CD radios with Parrot Bluetooth–the CDE-125BT and CDE-126BT—are now available at suggested prices of $230 and $270.
They have external microphones for clearer hands free calling. Also to prevent interference between the microphone and your speaker system, the decks let you assign one speaker to phone audio when a call comes in (otherwise you get an echo when multiple speakers interfere with the microphone).
The single-DIN units have front- panel USB, aux in and iPod/iPhone control. The CDE-125BT requires an optional $30 cable for iPod/iPhone control from the radio, but the cable is bundled with the step up model. The CDE-125BT gives you MP3 from a CD (but not from USB). The CDE-126BT gets you MP3 through both CD and USB and also adds WMA and AAC capability.
