Linkswell launches Trail Force powersports audio line.

Linkswell is bringing its large-screen radios into the powersports arena under a new Trail Force brand.

Trail Force will launch with a 10-inch waterproof radio for Polaris and for CanAm. Linkswell may also offer a dual-screen radio for the powersports segment (It plans a dual screen radio for the RV market and for custom installations in the car audio market).

Most of the initial Trail Force products will work with Polaris and CanAm, and Trail Force also plans products for Harley Davidson motorcycles and the marine industry.

The brand will also offer speakers and amplifiers. In addition, the Trail Force radio will have the ability to control other components of a powersports vehicle such as communication headsets or light bars, “so that it’s not just a radio but a complete communications center,” said Walt Detlefsen.

Linkswell said Trail Force is “a cutting-edge platform designed to consolidate multiple vehicle functions into one powerful device, reducing clutter and amplifying convenience.”

Like Linkswell T-Style radios for the car market, Trail Force radios will run on Android and allow the driver to download apps such as offroad mapping.

Detlefsen said the industry will dictate range of sizes of Trail Force radios in the future, noting that 13 inches “is not out of the question.”

Products are expected to be available prior to the SEMA Show in November.
