B2 Audio 2-inch tiny subwoofer is realistic sub aimed at remote control cars, but used elsewhere.

A 2-inch subwoofer from B2 Audio intended for the remote control (RC) car market has made its way into car and portable applications and has attracted mass attention on social media.

Distributor Big Jeff Audio said the B2 Audio Rampage RC2, $80 subwoofer drew over 2 million views on social media.  We found Williston Audio Labs showing it with 928k views, BudgetBassHeads 144k views, barevids 231k views and Steve Meade 227k views in roughly 30 days. Rough math from these four sources alone totaled 1,530,000 views.

The speaker is about as tall as a bottle of children’s aspirin.  It is precision-made with a cast aluminum basket, a large magnet structure for the size, and approximate 18 gauge leads. It has a voice coil of 0.8- inches and measures 2.24-inches in diameter with a 2.32-inch mounting depth.

Power output is 10 watts RMS into 4 ohms.  Big Jeff says it weighs almost a pound.

“It was originally designed for remote control but people jumped in making them into Bluetooth speakers and they went as far as to 3D print speaker boxes and matching them up with small Bluetooth chip amplifiers,” said Jeff Goldman of Big Jeff Audio.

B2 Audio via Big Jeff sold through 1,500 RC2 units in two months with another shipment due in March.

  1. A nice product with many useful experimental qualities .
I’d want to connect to my old RadioShack waterpipe radio : )

  2. Thanks for linking to my video! It’s Williston Audio Labs and I had a hunch people would love this “sub” and what people are doing with them. I have more planned content showing them off and I noticed the price has dropped a bit to make them more reasonable for display pieces but also those acrylic enclosures by SMD are incredible 👏

  3. Can you imagine someone showing up at an app contest with about 50-100 of these?

Each with it’s own amp …

    1. If Steve mead is shouting out to it, I believe it’s better than what y’all thinking. Cause Steve mead knows his shit when it comes to Speaker type of things

  4. “sold through 1,500 RC2 units in two months” There is of course a novelty factor, isn’t there? I’d get one simply for a paperweight!
