A new high tech, high end, 12 volt interface company has launched called SeirenHD to offer motorcycle and OEM interfaces. SeirenHD’s first product, a Harley A2B interface for 2024 + motorcycles, we reported on earlier. The company will expand into car audio interfaces early next year.
SeirenHD’s first automotive interfaces will work with Volkswagen/Audi, BMW, General Motors and Tesla vehicles. SeirenHD will also offer its own digital signal processor.
In motorcycle audio, the company plans to offer next month, a device that unlocks wireless CarPlay in new model Harley bikes. Currently, users must pair a headset with the radio in order to unlock wireless CarPlay. Harley owners tend to throw the headset it in the saddle bags in order to freely enjoy CarPlay, but the battery then drains. The new device tricks the radio into thinking the headset is attached to enable wireless CarPlay without the need for a paired headset. It is expected to sell at around $120 from online seller Volunteer Audio.
SeirenHD was launched by two leading industry members in 12 volt interfaces with over 18 years of experience developing automotive interfaces. Felix Lazarev is the CEO/CTO and Jack Randall is the VP of Integration for SeirenHD, which is owned by electronics design company Vedy Technologies Corp.
The interface company is working on additional motorcycle audio products that will be sold exclusively through Volunteer Audio. But future automotive products will be sold more generally, either on SeirenHD’s website or direct to dealers and through distributors. The company is considering working with manufacturer’s reps.
As we reported, SeirenHD’s first product, a Harley interface for 2024+ models was developed in conjunction with Jay Bradshaw, owner of Volunteer Audio. That interface is sold on Volunteer Audio and offered exclusively for a Hertz audio system.
The first SeirenHD automotive interfaces for VW/Audi, GM and BMW will launch in early 2025 with Tesla models to follow later in the year. All are AVB or A2B interfaces that allow installers to remove the factory amplifier. They take the digital signal directly from the radio and convert it to analog so users can add an aftermarket amplifier with a clean signal and volume control from the radio.
Randall said, “This is where we’re starting out. We will also be coming out with a full 31-band DSP with a parametric equalizer. It will be available as a software package, so the installer has full control over the device.”
The PC board for the 2024+ Harley A2B interface is built in the US. The company intends to continue building automotive interfaces in the US.
SeirenHD realizes that the 12 volt market is a crowded one, and said it, “intends to release unprecedented quality products for 12 volt and other markets as well.”
