Zapco is shipping to the US a line of compact DSP/amplifiers at low price points.
Called the Harmony series, it offers large system building capability with DSP functions, Bluetooth streaming, and built-in audio players for a USB stick, FLAC or Wav file starting at $199.99.
The price leader is a 6-channel DSP and 4-channel amplifier combo with 15-band EQ and 4-channel high level inputs. Called “Charlie,” the DSP/amp measures less than 5 x 5 x 2 inches with a power rating of 4 x 70 watts. The step up “Duke” has an 8-channel DSP with 31-band EQ and slightly longer chassis (6 inches) at $279.99. The “Louis” (the line is named after jazz greats) moves up to a 10-channel DSP and 8-channel amplifier combo rated at 8 x 70 watts at $359.99.
Chris Bennett, Director of Sales at the Apex Group, which distributes Zapco in the US, said, “When people think of Zapco, they think of a thousand dollar Class AB competition amplifier. But these are small footprint, very reliable platform DSP/amplifiers…Historically, there hasn’t been a whole lot that does what these do at these price points.”
The line is accompanied by a non-DSP 4-channel, full range, Class D amplifier, model HB-84D that may be used with the Harmony DSP amplifiers or as a standalone amp.
Also in the lineup is the HB CB20F, 20 Farad Capacitor and the HB DSP R remote controller for the DSP amplifiers.
These are actually small Class AB Amplifiers with the ideal that they are perfect for Tweeter and Mids or full range speakers that are efficient. They actually sound great and for the price many Dealers may choose to just use these as stand-alone DSPs.
These work great. Zero defects, failures, or overheating….been using and selling these for a while. The sound quality is VERY good for such a small footprint amp/DSP and being digital. The bluetooth quality and performance is excellent; links up every time and quickly. Hard to beat the pricing on these as well!
Donwe really need more class D chinese made crap? I want Zapco to make state of the art audiophile grade amps
The non-DSP amplifier is the only one identified as Class D.
Love these! Great customer feedback and the App is easy to operate and understand. Great product! Make DSP accessible to all!
