RDV Wired to Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto

RDVFL Automotive Technology is shipping a wired-to-wireless CarPlay/Android Auto adapter that converts a wired CarPlay/Android Auto deck to wireless version.

The user-installable  AC-W adapter also retains factory CarPlay/Android Auto capabilities including working with AM/FM radio and maps, and it offers a quick start up time, said RDVFL.  The AC-W retail price is $75.

“One of the standout features of the AC-W is its fast boot time, typically between five to eight seconds. Drivers can expect minimal delay when starting their vehicles…This rapid responsiveness ensures that navigation, music, and other essential apps are available almost instantly, improving overall convenience,” said RDVFL owner Rich De Sclafani.

The AC-W is a USB dongle with a built in Bluetooth and WiFi chip that users may plug in to the radio’s USB port.

The unit promises a “stable and reliable” connection and comes with a one-year warranty.

  1. This is another unlicensed product!!!
I will add this to stuff I don’t offer my customers, just like Linkswell, Atoto and other unlicensed marketplace brands. I don’t understand why anyone would install these instead of a certified radio from the big Japanese manufacturers. I make more money and know the product will not have any issues with updates or quality. I also don’t understand why our industry publication would insist on continuing to promote these types of products.
