Wet Sounds announced that its founder Tim White is retiring. His founding partner, Joe Mandola will continue to lead the company.
White launched Wet Sounds in 2005 out of his garage in Taylor Texas. The company grew to include 60 employees. It created a number of innovations in marine and powersports audio, including the first horn loaded compression driver production tower speakers, it said, as well as firsts in UTV soundbars, and LED backlit marine speakers.
Wet Sounds was acquired by Patrick Industries in 2021, leaving its three founding partners as company leaders. A third partner, Brett Triola retired earlier this year.
White, who is not yet 50, co-owns a company in another industry, where he will continue to work. That company produces Tequila under the brand Agazul. White plans to “shake up the Tequila industry much like Wet Sounds revolutionized marine audio,” said a Wet Sounds statement.

dealt with him I was the Dist of Vibe Uk in 04 and we sold them samples of the square 6×9 had compression horn in it but they were not loud enough for what he needed. He has made Wetsounds a house hold name in Marine Audio. Have fun in your new adventure!!!
