Details on Diamond’s Harley Deck

Diamond Audio announced new details on its wireless CarPlay/Android Auto Harley replacement radios, the first of which is due before the end of March.

The three Diamond radios were designed from the ground up for Harley motorcycles. The top model is fully featured and includes a 10-channel DSP.  It is compatible with the iDatalink Maestro RR2 to preserve Harley functions and it has six programmable outputs for accessory control.  It is also SiriusXM ready.

The MSHD14 has a 7-inch screen and 1,000 nit brightness. This doubles the minimum level considered to be sunlight-readable (500 nits), said Diamond Audio.

The deck is glove friendly so riders can operate it without removing their riding gloves.  It works with 2014 and up Harley touring models, including the Street Glide and Road Glide.  Shipping is expected by the end of Q1 or sooner at $1,299.

It will be joined by a model for 1998 to 2013 Harley bikes, the MSHD9813SG (Street Glide version).  It is a similar unit but without Maestro RR2 capability.  It will be available in approximately 60 days. A Road Glide version, MSHD9813RG will also be available.

A Cerwin Vega model with less features and lower targeted price point will also be offered in the future.

Other features of the MSHD14:

• 6 ClipFree 5V RCA Outputs
• ClipFree 4×25@4Ohm or 4×50@2Ohm internal power that is separate from RCA outputs. These outputs are separated from the RCAs so they can continue to be used and optimized with the internal crossovers and (six) 15 band equalizers if amplifiers are installed
• All outputs are designed to produce full power at 100% volume with less than 0.5% THD
• Bluetooth line driver to ensure 5V output even with lower output phones
