AAMP Global has changed its corporate name to Stinger, effective today.
The switch to the 34 year-old Stinger brand, which had been a sub-brand under AAMP Global, is to help create more consumer awareness of the company and its products.
President and CEO Scott Forst said, “The Stinger brand represents who we are today and where we are going in the future…It promises a stronger brand recognition that aims to fuel growth for our dealers.”
Stinger began as an aftermarket parts distributor. In recent years it became the AAMP brand for car, marine, powersports and motorcycle audio and accessories, including lighting and batteries.
Stinger will continue as a sub brand of the company, along with PAC, Connects2, AudioControl, and EchoMaster.

Stinger will display at the SEMA Show, starting Tuesday, in the North Hall, booth #10409. Stinger Fleet (previously, AAMP Commercial) will display at booth #10417.
