SkillsUSA held its national championship contest for car audio installer students in Atlanta last month. Eleven contestants from nine states made it to the finals.
Two of the contestants are already in the hiring process by KICKER on behalf of two of its dealers. Other contestants came from states including OK, GA, NC, ND, CA, MD, TX, GA and MO.
Dealers who are interested in hiring contestants can contact Chris Jack Technical Chairperson for SkillsUSA Mobile Electronics Installation at [email protected]
Among the judges and sponsors at the finals were Aaron Malin, KICKER’s Global Sales Training Manager. He was joined by Scott Dilbeck, co-owner of Southern Thunder Car Audio in Atlanta. Once again, Dilbeck said, “I honestly would have hired every single one [contestant]. We had two lady contestants, both were finalists. KICKER went above and beyond and brought equipment. Everyone there had competed on a statewide level and they came to win.”
SkillsUSA is still seeking donations for the upcoming year. Please contact Chris Jack to donate at [email protected]

You should put the contestant’s name in a list with their associated state. Maybe a follow-up article?
