Google Pixel owners may soon be able to use their phones as dashcams through an upcoming Personal Safety Update.
9to5Google reported that a beta software update was loaded, most likely mistakenly, on the Google Play Store that allows the new dashcam feature. It lets users record video (and the option of audio) while driving.
The feature can be accessed through a shortcut to record manually or automatically and to view videos. It allows multitasking so you can still use other apps such as navigation.
