Famed Car Customizer Shot at Home

Alex Vega, owner of The Auto Firm,  a noted Miami car design shop, was shot last week just outside his home.

Vega was critically wounded but is reportedly in stable condition.  One industry member said he has left the hospital to recuperate.

Vega, age 45, is known for customizing cars for celebrities the likes of Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt, singer Marc Anthony and rapper Rick Ross. He also stars in series THE ALEX VEGA PROJECT on the Velocity channel.

He was reportely ambushed while parking his 2019 Land Rover in his garage, and shot twice in the back.

Local police are searching for the shooter who was caught on video.
