Pioneer issued a free firmware update for about two dozen of its radios which will fix problems including screen lock up when using add-on navigation.
Effective June 25, the software fix addresses the following:
- Touch operation for Pioneer Add-on Navigation Systems may not respond correctly. This applies to the radio models AVH-2330NEX, AVH-2300NEX, AVH-1330NEX, AVH-1300NEX, AVH-3300NEX, MVH-2300NEX, MVH-1400NEX, MVH-2400NEX, MVH-AV251BT, AVH-2440NEX, AVH-2400NEX, AVH-1440NEX, AVH-1400NEX, AVH-3400NEX, AVH-601EX, AVH-600EX, AVH-501EX, AVH-500EX, DMH-C2500NEX, DMH-C5500NEX, DMH-C2550NEX, AVH-2500NEX, AVH-1500NEX, AVH-2550NEX, DMH-1500NEX, AVH-1550NEX, and AVH-3500NEX.
- In WebLink, sound could not be output through the unit when connected to certain smartphone models. With this update, the WebLink Sound setting is no longer needed. Models impacted include the DMH-C2500NEX, DMH-C5500NEX, DMH-C2550NEX, AVH-2500NEX, AVH-1500NEX, AVH-2550NEX, DMH-1500NEX, AVH-1550NEX, AVH-3500NEX.
