Mobile Solutions, a company that specializes in fabrication training, is solidifying its additional role as a seller of installer tools by establishing a network of manufacturer reps.

It announced agreements with 20-year rep firm Paragon Sales and Marketing as well as Elevated Sales and Marketing (ESM) and End Result.  Additional reps are expected to be added throughout the year.

The reps will market Mobile Solutions installer tools as well as its new Built In Radar templates and kits for installing custom radar detectors.

Paragon Sales and Marketing covers southern Nevada, southern California, New Mexico, Hawaii and Arizona. ESM handles Northern California, and End Result covers the states of Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

This marks a new chapter for Mobile Solutions.  It started 14 years ago with a catalog of 10 sales training tools, which company owner Bryan Schmitt called the first of its kind in the industry.   Schmitt traveled around the country offering training in 12 volt installation and trained a couple of hundred installers each year.

“I come from humble beginnings in the install bay. I worked my way up to become a shop manager and got a lucky break and worked for Rockford for 7 years.”  Schmitt served as a Senior Vehicle Designer and a Technical Trainer at Rockford and learned the skills of training and public speaking. He then went on to work for Innovative Audio in Seattle (the precursor to what is now the high end Benchmark Motoring), before launching Mobile Solutions.

The company now has 5 employees and a catalog of 400 products plus a dozen distributors, domestic and international. Schmitt trains a thousand installers a year.  The company now has an 8,000 square foot facility in Tempe, AZ, which also houses a shop for tools and equipment.

Late last year, Mobile Solutions purchased Built In Radar to take advantage of the profitable custom radar segment, which has become a key category for many 12 volt specialists.  Schmitt said the company is planning to enter other new product categories in the future.

Mobile Solutions will exhibit at KnowledgeFest in Long Beach, February 23-25.

  1. I am confident this new addition will bring much needed Mobile Solutions products and trainings to a significantly larger audience. Bryan is a breath of fresh air in our industry and I hope he continues to grow and succeed.

  2. Bryan’s methodology in fabrication, integration, efficiency, labor, and business management is invaluable to every account – no matter the size. No other company I can think of offers nearly as wide a range of solutions that will greatly impact quality, professionalism, time management, and the bottom line. If I were a rep firm looking to add value at each stop, I’d be courting Mobile Solutions.
