Elettromedia-USA announced it has added Crutchfield Corporation as an authorized Hertz Internet retail partner.
Hertz products have been shipped to Crutchfield and should be available on its website soon.
Most of the Hertz line will be available through the Charlottesville, VA-based retailer.
According to Elettromedia-USA VP Rob Wempe, the deal will benefit independent retailers through Crutchfield’s ability to increase brand awareness.
He said Crutchfield is a leader in SEO (search engine optimization) so when someone goes online to search for Hertz products they will see it on the top of the page at a minimum advertised price. Previously, without this type of commercial presence online, most of the prices a consumer saw online were unauthorized discounts from unauthorized retailers.
“Now, what will show up is Crutchfield and if consumers are looking for a Mille Legend, they will see it at $1,350,” and dealers will be able to match that price, said Wempe.
Senior Director of Mobile Merchandising, Carl Matthews said, “Our Crutchfield.com website and Discovery Book catalogs will help expose the Hertz brand to more consumers resulting in more retail business.”
