Leading the top selling subwoofers (by dollars) over the recent 12 month period was JL Audio with the CP212W0V3, according to the NPD Group.
From February 2016 through January 2017, the loaded sub box took the top spot followed by a Kicker under-the-seat subwoofer, the 11HS8.
The JL CP212W0v3 is a 4-year old slot-ported BassWedge subwoofer with two 12-inch woofers and a box that can be used either in either rear-, front- or down-firing configurations.
The Kicker 11HS8 has been available for 5-6 years. It is an 8-inch hideaway subwoofer that’s only 3 inches high for placing under a seat or in a storage compartment. It has a built-in 150-watt RMS amplifier.
