Hifonics is now shipping its THOR line of powersports and marine compression horn speakers.
The line uses a coincident mounted compression horn designed to deliver large amounts of SPL while distributing a full range of frequencies. The main advantage of the horn speakers are they are able to produce about five times more sound than a traditional cone speaker from a given amplifier output, said Maxxsonics, Hifonic parent.
THOR speakers are available as an 8-inch tower speaker and 6.5-inch compact tower speaker plus 6.5 door speaker. With minimal amplification, the Hifonics drivers, with point source UHS technology can produce 92dB from a 6.5 inch and 95dB from the 8-inch driver.
Several models offer red and blue illumination.
Hifonics products are on display at the Westgate Hotel and Casino, Suite 28-110 North Tower.
