BOSS Audio anems new Sernior National Sales Manager.

Boss Audio recently launched the Boss Elite line of car audio products that are protected from Internet discounting, it said.

The line is aimed at brick and mortar stores but is also available at online sites including Crutchfield, said Boss National Sales Manager for Powersports Patrick Brooks.

Boss Elite is the first protected line from the brand from Boss Audio, said Brooks, adding that the company will adhere to a minimum advertised price (MAP)  policy and will “cut off” retailers “who aren’t following the rules.”

Boss Elite launched about 45 days ago with a narrow product selection that includes a half dozen head units, and two lines of speakers plus three amplifiers.

A key DVD/navigation radio model is the BV960NV with a 6.5 inch screen, Bluetooth, SD card slot, and front panel USB at a street price of $279.

The leader deck is a single DIN mechless (CDless) radio with AM/FM, Bluetooth, and SD card slot at $59.99.

The company will add 10- and 12-inch subwoofers and loaded and unloaded subwoofer boxes as well.

Amplifiers include a mono amplifier, a 2-channel and a 4-channel model.

Boss is currently signing up rep firms in some markets to support the line, including Pacific Coast Marketing in CA.

  1. Now if all other Manufacturers could do this on a large scale, perhaps this industry (and so many others) wouldn’t be collapsing. Oh well…livelihoods don’t really matter anyway, and a shriveling tax bases won’t kill off our country either…right? Good luck to everyone!
