Samsung announced a new WiFi hotspot for the car. Its Connect Auto is a dongle that plugs into the OBD2 port in almost any car to allow your devices to connect to the Internet.
Connect Auto will also monitor your car’s performance, and help users improve driving behavior, including increased gas mileage.
The device will offer 4G LTE speed and should be available in the second quarter this year, powered by AT&T service.
It will compete with other devices such as the Verizon hum (which doesn’t have LTE capability) and the VOXX Car Connection (also powered by AT&T).
