Remembering Lance Putnam This Christmas

Lance Putnam

It’s been two years since the industry lost Kentucky retailer Lance Putnam to cancer, leaving behind his wife Jenny, and young son and daughter, Sawyer and  Sydney.

The car audio industry came together at the time to help the family, raising over $1,650.

Once again,  CEoutlook has joined with Avidworx, and Mobile Electronics Magazine with the goal of raising another $1,000 to help make this Christmas a merry one for Lance’s family.

Lance-Putnam-family“Lance was a true visionary in our industry,” said Avidworx President Marcel Newell. “He dedicated so much time to bringing retailers together and raising the profile and professionalism of the industry. He loved to help, and to help others be successful.”He was always an optimist, and always put others first. He gave so much. Now it’s our turn to give something back.”

The family used the funds last year to go on a family vacation, swimming with the dolphins at Discovery Cove in Orlando, and making stops at Sea World and Aquatica.

“We had an absolute blast,” said Jenny. “I want to thank all of you who made that trip possible. Sydney is fairly shy (not at all like Lance), and didn’t want to smile for the photographer in the pictures, but she absolutely could not help smiling when she got to swim with the dolphins. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. God bless you.”
