GoPro is slowly working its way into the car and truck.

Toyota announced that a GoPro camera mount is now standard equipment on all of its 2016 Tacoma trucks. Wired magazine says, while the camera’s not included, don’t be surprised if Toyota dealers start offering a free camera as an incentive.

You may remember last November, Rigid Industries showed an LED light bar with a built-in slot for a GoPro camera. The working prototype was a 10-inch waterproof light bar with a dock for a Hero 3+ camera that is trickle charged with the vehicle is running. The device was originally expected to be available early this year. Rigid has not yet responded to our requests for confirmation on shipping.

Of course, any truck or car owner can buy a $40 car mount for a GoPro. But it looks like adding a GoPro to a truck, performance vehicle or powersports vehicle may be a trend to watch.
