Rydeen Mobile said it will ship in January, the crash warning system PVR-15W it announced last month.
The crash warning system also combines lane departure warning and a digital video recorder (DVR) and it can be installed in an hour, with calibration in a 10-minute drive.
It is part of Rydeen’s new Advanced Vehicle Technology line to be displayed at the CES Show in Las Vegas next week.
The PVR-15W docks on the windshield behind the rear view mirror, like a radar detector. It measures the distance and speed of a car in relation to the car ahead, and alerts the driver if he is closing in on the car ahead too quickly. It also warns if you leave the lane without using the turn signal, to prevent drowsy driving.
The DVR records continuously and saves any event triggered by the built in G-sensor, such as a collision or a side swipe while parked. It records in 1280 x 720 HD resolution and in AVI format, for playback on many devices.
The system includes a wireless remote control and 8GB SD Card (expandable to 32GB) at a suggested retail price of $499.
It will be on display at CES in North Hall Booth # 3306, January 6th to 9th at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
