Cartunes of Atlanta, GA is featured in a TV news segment showing the dangers of backover accidents.

The  Mobile Electronics Group (MERA, ICE, KnowledgeFest, ME Magazine) also helped in the making of the Channel 11 news clip as did KidsandCars.org, which worked to get the new law passed requiring that all cars include backup cameras by 2018.

The segment  tells of the tragic death of 4-year-old Jackson Peck, who was backed over, unseen by his grandmother and tragically killed.

The reporter went on to demonstrate how an entire group of children could stand directly behind a vehicle and not be seen through the side-view or rear-view mirrors.

In the segment, Cartunes Atlanta Manager Emran Alborno outlined the basics of a backup camera installation.  NAV-TV provided the camera and a module to integrate it into the car.

The clip, called “Hidden Danger: Preventing Vehicle Backover Accidents” can be viewed here:  http://www.11alive.com/story/news/local/2014/11/18/rear-cameras-accident-prevention/19182213/

“It’s an important message for our industry, and for the safety of children and drivers alike,” said Chris Cook, president of the Mobile Electronics Group.
