Tint World, with almost 40 franchise stores, and more due by the end of the year, has opened an online store on its web site that aims to sell just about every car audio brand.
The online shop is now selling Kenwood, Sony, Vizualogic and other brands with many more expected to join by the end of the year.
Products are sold at the minimum advertised price (MAP) and may be drop-shipped to a Tint World store for installation or may be shipped directly to the consumer.
For some products, no price will appear and consumers will be told to “call for pricing at our authorized outlets.”
The chain is not a stranger to selling products on line as it carries over 40,000 wheel styles from more than 40 brands, or just about every leading brand available, said CEO Charles Bonfiglio
“We want to have every brand on there. Each store may not be able to carry every brand, but we can carry it on the web site and can ship to the store,” he added.
Tint World won Retailer of the Year 2014 for a chain store by Mobile Electronics magazine.
By our estimates, the company is on track to see sales of about $6 million in car audio by the end of the year, or a gain of close to $2 million over 2013.

Mitch,
Good call. Lol! That’s what it says, from what I interpret.
It remains to be seen how much influence TWI can pull
with their vendors, but most of whom are generally very happy to add any other viable niche outlet, even if it really only is simply cannibalizing biz from some other sideways outlets.
Vendors typically are now well past caring what goes where,
so long as more and more goes out the door ASAP.
I wonder how the franchisees feel about being cut out of the deal on product by the company they pay to represent. Maybe next they’ll sell to the customer for what they charge their “dealers”
It will be interesting to see how their current vendor partners who have in the past been very adamant against online sales will handle this. Will they hold their policies or will they bow down?
I agree with Mitch just stop playing games and go directly to the main point tran$$$$$$hip and di$$$$$$count products .
Interesting statement: “We want to have every brand on there. Each store may not be able to carry every brand, but we can carry it on the web site and can ship to the store,” he added.
That statement could have been shortened a lot: “We plan to Transship.”
lots of luck on getting it installed properly.
