VAIS Technology is now shipping its first add-on module for Ford vehicles.
Its GSR module lets Ford drivers add SiriusXM service without degrading the sound quality of satellite radio, as can happen using other add-on solutions like cassette adapters and FM transmitters. (An optional SiriusXM SXV200 tuner is also required).
Users can retain all the functions of their factory radio including CD changer and rear seat entertainment. They can browse SiriusXM channels from the radio touch screen or steering wheel controls, or they can use a tuning knob on the radio for quick browsing.
The GSR module, at $249.99 retail, is compatible with the Ford Fiesta, Focus, Fusion, C-Max, Taurus, Escape, Edge, and Flex.
The GSR is also available for other car models.
