JL Audio ranked second in dollars, followed by Pioneer, Alpine and Kenwood.
The ranking in unit sales was Pioneer, followed by Kicker, Kenwood, Alpine and Sony.
The figures reflect US sales to consumers.
This would be useful if it broke out chains from regionals/independents.

Amy, All NPD reports I have seen are always top 10, can you post top 10 list? Thanks in advance.
NPD limits the data it provides to the press and so I try to keep my requests to the minimum amount of data. I can ask for the top 10 in the future.
