Steve Witt, VOXX (Audiovox) Electronics VP Mobile Audio and Advanced Accessories is leaving the company after 18 months to create his own marketing and management company.

The 33-year industry veteran and former marketing executive at Alpine Electronics, is launching a company that will help bring car electronics and other products to market.  Witt uses new “think like a customer marketing” techniques and collaborative management methods. “It’s all about gathering the right people together to achieve a specific goal,” he said.

Witt is already working with two consumer electronics companies, but he said he is not yet able to announce his clients. He is also helping to market a brand of salon hair and skin products owned by his wife, Laura DuPriest.

“I have to tell you there is so much opportunity out there,” said Witt. “Part of my mission now with my own company is that I’m going to take my 33 years of experience …and help companies take products to market…I am really focused on helping others  and working with like-minded people that don’t want to burden their overhead with salaried employees.”

He says clients could include companies with product sourced in Asia that are looking for a business strategy.

Witt effectively left VOXX on March 14 although he has continued to help tie up loose ends at the company.   He will formalize the name of his new venture in the next weeks and may be reached until then at  [email protected]

  1. Go for it Steve! People like us who believe and were raised with the sense of mission are bound to succeed. Add passion to the mix and there will have to be positive response from those who need to recognize our industry’s floundering posture and support those who can and WILL make a difference.

  2. Best wishes to you. believe it won’t take long to get to know your successful achievement!
