Vizualogic parent TMI Products, maker of car video and entertainment products, said it has filed a preliminary injunction against Rosen Electronics.
The complaint alleges that Rosen infringes on one of TMI’s patents, no. 7,597,393, relating to headrests that have an integrated DVD/LCD video screen.
The complaint was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
TMI CEO Gene Tuccinardi, which TMI says is an inventor on TMI patents, said in a press statement, ““TMI is a family-owned company that has been in business for more than 30 years and developed high-quality automotive components and valuable intellectual property in the automotive entertainment field. TMI’s reputation is built on quality, innovation, and speed to market. TMI also respects other company’s intellectual property.TMI will vigorously protect and enforce its intellectual property against Rosen Electronics and all others who may be infringing TMI’s intellectual property.”
A Rosen spokesman said the company had no comment at this time.
