Car audio supplier Memphis announced at CES it will distribute remote start and security products from Encore Automotive Systems, effective now.
Memphis Car Audio will be the exclusive distributor for Encore products in the US and Encore’s products will be sold by Memphis’ team of direct representatives. Encore products will be stocked in Memphis’ warehouse and fulfilled to dealers in the same way Memphis car audio products are shipped and billed, it said.
Encore was launched two years ago by the inventor of the first cellphone-controlled remote starter, Oliver Grunhold.
Memphis said the alliance combines its strength in sales and customer service with Encore’s strength in engineering
Memphis dealers may include Encore purchases in their regular Memphis shipments, said Andy Allen, Director of Product and Marketing for Memphis.
Grunhold said Encore is also looking at developing new products that might combine the synergies of both brands.

Question instead of becoming allies how about Encore haveing product out for stores to buy on time. Product was never available to wholesalers thus retail stores within Illinois area. Couple hundred here and there. Shortage of product, hard to support when product is not available….
