Consumers who buy an aftermarket backup camera, will often need a “smart” integration kit in order for the camera to work with a particular factory radio.
NAV-TV says it now offers kit solutions that work with 900 vehicles globally, representing the widest selection backup camera car-specific kits. With the NAV-TV interfaces, consumers do not need to make a trip back to the car dealership to reprogram the radio, as is the case with some kits.
The company recently launched 41 camera/interface solutions that let a camera work with a factory radio screen.
The new “EXP” line includes a camera plus an interface. The kits come with either a car-specific camera or a universal version. Many of the kits have plug and play harnesses so there’s no wiring.
