Phoenix Gold introduced new budget-priced car audio amplifiers under its R-Series at CES this week.
2013 models include three mono amplifiers plus a 4-channel model and a 5-channel version.
They use a robust, unregulated power supply, high-level inputs for easy OEM installation and over-sized direct input power and speaker terminals.
The new mono models have the following power output RMS ratings: RX1100.1, Class D (800 watts RMS @ 2 ohms); RX500.1 Class D (300 watts @ 4 ohms) and RX250.1 Class A/B (150 watts @ 4 ohms or 250 watts at 2 ohms).
The four-channel amplifier is the RX400.4 Class A/B bridgeable amp rated at 75 watts by 4 @ 4 ohms stereo. The five-channel version is the RX600.5, Class A/B, bridgeable model rated at 60 watts by 4 @ 4 ohms stereo plus 200 watts @ 4 ohms.
Pricing ranges from $179.99 to $399.99. Shipping dates will be announced.
