MTX (Mitek) said it is working with InstallerNet to launch a private nationwide network of  installers of its MTX car audio equipment.

MTX radically changed its method of selling car audio to a hybrid online/brick and mortar model on January 1. MTX product is now purchased online, even by dealers, so nearly all sales go through an MTX.com web site for fulfillment.  Retailers then get a commission on their sales.

For installation of product that a consumer buys direct from MTX.com, there are now two types of MTX installers.  Preferred installers are presented first to shoppers on the MTX.com web site.  If a  preferred dealer is not available, the customer will be shown the InstallerNet group of retailers.

The  InstallerNet platform will allow consumers to schedule appointments for installation online or by a toll free number.

MTX said it will be “making a significant investment in marketing its brand” to attract new customers to drive business to its installer network.

InstallerNet CEO Tony Frangiosa said, “The combination of MTX’s innovative new dealer programs with our technology and network will change how business is done in the industry.”

InstallerNet coordinates a nationwide network of car audio installers.  It provides “gift cards” that may be purchased  towards installation of a car audio product through installers in its network.
