MMATS Intros New Amplifiers

MMATS will introduce at CES this week two new U.S. built amplifiers both rated at 5,000 watts RMS.

The full –range Class D amps include the 5000.1, a  1-ohm, 2-channel, model rated at 82 percent efficiency. It has a 24dB per octave crossover section with band pass capabilities.  It also uses a 4-ounce printed circuit board and a has a remote volume control.  Its chassis measures about 11 inches long.

It’s near twin amp is a 2-ohm version, the 5000.2.  Both are expected to ship in January at a suggested retail price of approximately $1,349 each.

These are joined by an entry-level E series with 4 new models.  An E600.4 is rated at 4 x 60 watts RMS and an E300.2 is rated at 2 x 60 watts RMS. Two monoblock models are the E600.1D rated at 300 watts RMS, 600 watts max and the E1000.1D, rated at 500 watts RMS, 1000 watts max.

The line ships in January at suggested retail prices from $79 to $129.

Also new is a marine amp model MPA5900M, a 5-channel model rated at 4 x 100 watts plus 500 x 1 watts into 2 ohms.  It has variable crossovers, and remote bass control plus a compact chassis at about 11 inches long.  It also comes in a standard car audio version as model MPA5900. Shipping is expected in February at $498 for the marine model and $398 suggested retail price for the car audio version.

The amplifiers are among 15 new car audio products MMATS will introduce at CES at the Las Vegas Convention Center, North Hall, Booth 3012, starting January 8.
