The T-harnesses each come preloaded with firmware required to work with specific vehicles, so there’s no need to “flash” the controllers, said Compustar.

There are 3 series for the harnesses: FO (Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Mazda), GM (GMC, Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac), and CH (Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep).

Director of sales, Jason Kaminski, states, “In our market research, we’ve found a rather significant amount of consumers still believe that remote starts are bad for their vehicle. Our main goal is to improve the efficiency of Compustar remote start installations, while enhancing the customer experience with a more factory fit solution. We believe a more factory fit remote start will help drive incremental business to our top retailers.”
