The KnowledgeFest car audio convention next month will include more than 15 new vendors, many of whom are new to the aftermarket, said event sponsor, the Mobile Electronics Retailers Association (MERA).

KnowledgeFestExhibitors Cimble, Crux, PartnerShip and Safeware are new entrants to the aftermarket, while brands Accele Electronics, Crimestopper, elettromedia, Hybrid Audio, Kicker, Rosen and Wet Sounds are first-time exhibitors at the annual show.

German Maestro also announced it is giving away a limited number of free passes to the event, held August 18- 21 near Dallas at the Gaylord Texan Hotel & Convention Center. Typically, a pass costs $149 for non-MERA members.

“We are making these KnowledgeFest Passes “priority available” to authorized German Maestro retailers and then other qualified retailers at no charge,” said German Maestro President Ray Windsor.

An interesting event at the show this year should be a 5-retailer panel discussion.  Retail panelists will include Jon Kowanetz of Handcrafted Car Audio in Mesa, AZ; Jason Kranitz of Kingpin Car Audio in Wilsonville, R; Derek Pace of Certified Sounds, Wailuku, HI; John Schwartz of Perfectionist Auto Sound & Security, Anchorage, AL and Micah Williams of Sonus Car Audio in Clarksville, TN.

Additional show exhibitors this year include Fortin, MMATS, Morel, Steelmate, Wirez, Prospect Genius, Sound Off Audio and Beat-Sonic.

Many returning exhibitors have expanded their booth space or other show commitments including Scosche, Sony, Memphis Car Audio, AudioControl, Focal and Arc Audio.

K40 also announced it will be returning to KnowledgeFest.
