Registration is now open for KnowledgeFest, the car audio industry’s annual gathering and training venue presented by the Mobile Electronics Retailers Association (MERA).
Dealers may register here for the event, held an extra day this year from Saturday, August 18 through Tuesday, August 21. Saturday is open to VIP retailers (a manufacturer must invite you). The location is once again at the Gaylord Texan Hotel and Conference Center near Dallas, Texas.
MERA expects over 1,000 attendees at the event this year. It has lowered registration fees: For MERA members, one person from the store attends free, and others pay $99. For non-members the fee is $149, and $99 for other employees, and the fee includes free MERA membership for the rest of 2012.

The theme of KnowledgeFest this year is “The Playbook: Retail Growth Through Proactive Strategy.” In this time of uncertainty at retail, “Independents can no longer depend on existing business — it will diminish without a real plan for re-energizing and maintaining profitability,” said MERA President Chris Cook.
